Hi, I'm the founder!
I'm Parisan Vazirinejad — the person behind Career Blossom.
A few years ago, I was exactly where many of you are now.
Trying to choose subjects.
Wondering whether university was the right choice.
Questioning if I was good enough.
Spending hours researching careers and still feeling like I knew less than when I started.
I remember thinking that everyone else seemed to have their life planned out.
The truth?
Most of us don't.
The path
My story
I moved to Scotland as a teenager.
Starting over wasn't easy.
New country.
New school.
New education system.
New language.
Everything felt unfamiliar.
But looking back, that change taught me something I'll always be grateful for:
Growth usually starts outside your comfort zone.
Since then, I've started a Software Engineering Apprenticeship, met incredible people, joined many societies, participated in so many activities, and worked on projects I never imagined I'd be a part of.
But one of the things I'm proudest of is Career Blossom.
Moved to Scotland as a teenager
Learned a completely new education system
Started over in a new language
Began a Software Engineering Apprenticeship
Built Career Blossom
Still learning every day
The reason
Why I built Career Blossom
Career Blossom started because I wished something like it already existed.
I wanted one place where students could:
- explore careers without feeling overwhelmed
- understand university and apprenticeships
- find practical advice
- realise that it's okay not to have everything figured out
I didn't want another website full of complicated information.
I wanted something that felt like advice from someone who's only a few steps ahead.
So when I was deciding on my Advanced Higher Computing project I thought “why not make that myself?”

Comparison steals your excitement.
Every opportunity teaches you something.
Confidence usually comes after you start — not before.
Nobody has everything figured out, even if it looks like they do.

Today I'm:
Studying Software Engineering
Working as an Apprentice
Building Career Blossom alongside university and work
Part of many societies
Constantly learning something new
Probably drinking coffee while planning my next idea
And honestly…
I'm still figuring things out too.
